*We have all sorts of CASH PRIZES and prize packages to give away this year -- including a trip to LAIKA Studios in Portland! There will be LOTS of winners this year, and a Best Amateur award in each age category!
**We organize events for live audiences of all ages; therefore, we require that all content at our public events be FAMILY-FRIENDLY.
2014 SHORT FILM ENTRY DEADLINE: MONDAY - March 31st, 2014
Mail your entries - OR - SEE Entry Drop-box Locations
.*Short Film LENGTHS: ***10-14 ages - 1 to 8 minutes / 15-18 and Adult - 1 to 12 minutes. Please read our FilmMaking Tips & EDIT the EXCESS FLAB off those short film projects ... and keep it FAMILY-FRIENDLY, folks!
*A Central OR Film Festival Sponsorship Form is available - PRINT. It explains our program to potential sponsors... along with a place for you, the producer, to give a short narrative about your film. The sponsorship fee will be $25 per producer or team. More than one sponsor can be signed up to make the total amount of your entry fee.
WE HAVE HEARD FROM YOU! Due to hardship claims and some whining, we are adjusting our rules to be ONE Sponsorship Form/fee PER PRODUCER, TEAM or FAMILY. You can enter more than one film with just ONE sponsorship form... just make sure the films are together with your form for turn-in.
You can sign up friends, family or local businesses to sponsor your entry fee ... AND your sponsor(s) will also be eligible to win a PRIZE package worth $250! We will be adding MORE prize packages as we get our own sponsors for the film festival... STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS!
*We have NEW criteria this year -- original music score gets automatic points... you can enter more than one film... lengths are shorter... So take a look at the rules and entry forms below!
RE-EDITING & RE-SUBMITTING ~ Another option this year is to re-create and re-edit your older films or your previous entries to make a new film with tweaked focus. As long as it is significantly changed, you can re-submit a film. See FILM-MAKING TIPS for shooting/editing tips.
